2011 NASA Region 6

Just another WordPress.com site

Welcome

Welcome to the website of the North American Saxophone Alliance Region 6 Conference. This event will take place March 18-19, 2011 in the UNF Fine Arts Center located at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

Please see the corresponding links for specific information about the conference. If you should have further questions, please contact me directly.

This website is devoted solely to information about the 2011 NASA Region 6 Conference and it will be updated as details fall into place. The final schedule of events will be posted under the link “Schedule.” The program will be posted once the submission deadline has passed.

Registration for the conference: All current NASA members will be admitted to the regional conference at no additional charge. When you check in at the conference here in Jacksonville, we will verify that your NASA membership is current—there are no additional registration charges or fees beyond that. If your NASA membership has lapsed, please go to: www.saxalliance.org/joinnasa.html and renew it, otherwise you will be asked to renew it when you arrive at the conference.

Call for participation: View the participation page to download the proposal form.  Once completed, this form can be emailed to 2011nasaregion6@gmail.com. Submission deadline is December 20, 2010.

Students performing in the masterclasses are welcome to play with piano, but this is NOT required.

Performers: if you require some time in the hall (check your assigned location) prior to your performance, contact me and I will try to accommodate your request. I assume those of you whose performances involve stereo playback or any kind of electronics will definitely need some time for set up and a trial run. Please email me for specific information.

As you make your plans to come to the conference, please note that the University of North Florida campus is centrally located in the heart of Jacksonville’s southside, with close access to lodging accommodations, dining, entertainment, golf, beaches, and other amenities. Recommended hotels for the conference will be posted.

My studio and I are excited to host this event and we are looking forward to meeting and hearing each of you.
